Genre: Old Time / Playing Style: Clawhammer and Old-Time
As played by WV fiddler Ralph Roberts, recorded by Don Borchelt and Jimmy Triplett. John's Tune is short little tune and fun to hear and play. It's named after the fiddler's grandfather who began every fiddle session with it!

Thanks for sharing this tune. Do you know if Ralph Roberts recorded it in a specific tuning, or did you adapt it to standard G tuning for clawhammer? 5 letter words

The original recording was by Don Borchelt. Check out the Tune of the Week discussion thread to hear it. banjohangout.org/topic/409488
I try to stay true to the original key, sometimes recommending a capo for tunes in the key of D or A.
