I recorded this song the very day I learned it! I learned it via The Murphy Method, and literally on the day I started up with the method. I was so knew and so excited, I forgot the repeats. haha! But it was fun, and hopefully will be nice to compare to after I get better. Mike

Again, to just follow my progress. This recorder is a hand held digital recorder, so it is not the best quality.

I got new recording equipment, so decided to test it out on a couple of my standbys.

First, I wanted to compare myself. Posted this one year ago today. Also wanted to compare my 2 banjos. First time is my Deering Goodtime. Second is my MM. Mike

Loved this one since I was a kid, watching "The Darlin's" (The Dillards) on the Andy Griffith Show. I used a multi-track recorder so I could do my own harmonies. It's really slow... But the speed will come. Mike

I am just learning the high break to FMB, so I thought I would put a recording on here to judge my progress. I really messed up the ending, and almost said a bad word. But, I didn't!

In this one, I am actually listening to a recording, and trying to vamp along. I also tried to roll along and kind of "fake" a break. Was fun, but I don't sound very good.

Here is the full song. I wanted to put the break that I arranged into context. It is in Bb. My wife walked in on the recording just after the break, so it sounds awkward there, where I restarted recording. haha! Mike

Love this song. I decided to write a banjo break. This took me quite some effort. My banjo instructor (Andy Buckland) gave tips, but I didn't want him to write it for me. So, he guided me. :-) I know it is crude as hell and riddled with mistakes. But, to be honest, I really just wanted to get the write notes. The rest will come. Mike
