Round Peak chestnut. Little bit of a false start, but the recovery worked out fine, so I uploaded it. Played on my fretless with internal resonator.

Learned from the Brad Leftwich "Round Peak" book. For some reason I keep singing "Down on My Knees" - sorry to you purists. Tuned to Double C and played on a tackhead I built.

Though I've been drop-thumbing for a little while now, I recently really got the lower strings down - with snaps. It's a bit over done here (and sloppy at times), but I had a blast with the syncopated "snaps."

Learned from John Herrmann, who adapted it from an old Ledbelly record (he sang it acapella). I mixed up the verses a little and it sounds like I'm singing dog when I mean daughter...oh well. Played in g#BEBE on my new fretless with internal resonator.

First recording on my new fretless with internal resonator. The tune is a little ditty I made up in g#BEBE (same tuning as Shaving a Dead Man).

From Lucinda Williams' first record "Happy Woman Blues." Clawhammer In standard G. I was trying to make a fingerpicking guitar arrangement of this when I started playing clawhammer banjo a few months ago. I like this CH arrangement better (flubs and all). This is my first-ever banjo recording. Played on tackhead banjo made by me (I'm a better amateur luthier than amateur banjo player).
