The classic Hank song, done in a non-Hank way. We don't think he'd mind. Recorded live at Tucson Cantina Washington, DC with the first version of Critical Gap.

For the discussion of effect pedals. This is just the banjo solo from "Midnight Moonlight" (I'm playing the chorus). My rig at the time (1993): 1986 Gibson Earl Scruggs with a Stew-Mac/Fishman single coil pickup going direct to the mixer with a Fishman Model G Preamp -> DoD Phaser -> DoD Bi-Fet Preamp (for solo boost) -> Whirlwind IMP2 Direct Box -> mixer

Title song from one of Hiatt's best albums. Bernie Leadon played banjo on the original. Recorded live to a cheap little recorder in the corner during band practice with The Splinters.
