This was written by Norman Blake. I overdubbed some mandolins and it almost sounds like classical chamber music.

I was visiting my dad and his stepson had this old banjo from the early 1900's that was a S.S. Stewart copy. It had some missing brackets and needed a little work, but I tuned it and played this tune with dad. He is playing the guitar and singing. In spite of my mediocre playing, the old banjo sounded pretty good.

I was messin' around with a djembe drum and wondered how a bluegrass tune would sound with an African rhythm. Did I just invent a new music style, Afrograss?
