I'm still a beginner, with only 4 months of experience, but I was inspired to learn the national anthems of these two countries in a quasi-bluegrassy (you tell me?) style. India and Pakistan are two countries that have fought numerous wars against each other and gotten to the brink of nuclear war in modern times. My family is Indian-origin. So I think it's ironic that two of the most beautiful melodies of any anthems around the world belong to these two countries. I play these side by side so that listening to one means you've kinda got to listen to the other. My Indian mother loved it so there's at least that? :D

I'm a little over 4 weeks of learning the banjo. I learned this version from Jim Pankey's youtube videos.

I just passed my two month anniversary of playing the banjo. I've been working on this tune for a couple of weeks.
