I've been trying to play tenor banjo since I was little. I let all kinds of things get in my way. I toured with a very good drum and bugle corps in the early '80s, playing and arranging percussion. I then joined the Army; now I'm disabled. I've played in orchestras and concert bands, and even fife and drum corps, but never with a Dixieland band, which is my true love. I've finally gotten down to playing, and have found some great teachers.
