I grew up in the Bay Area in the 50's and the Kingston Trio captured my imagination, and I especially LOVED the banjo and Dave. I once heard Pete Seager interviewed, and he mentioned that Dave Guard learned to play the banjo from a 33rpm record and booklet he produced. I immediately ran out and bought that teaching record. I still have it today, and think it may be a collectors item........anyway, if you hear that record, you'll KNOW how Dave learned to play.......Pete has recorded many styles including FLAMINGO banjo. It's reallly something to hear. I wonder if amazon.com would have that instructional record in stock... well, thats all I have to add to this interesting site......I'm bookmarking this site too, I enjoy it. Thanks Add Comment
