This past summer I got interested in Claw hammer banjo as a result of my teacher Tom Baker of the Packway Handle Band. After a few months I really wanted to purchase a banjo and after much consideration and reading decided on a 12" tubaphone made by Bill Rickard. When it finally arrived I was not disappointed. It played great out of the box and if you can believe it, it sounds even better today than just a month + ago when it arrived. If you are in the marked I highly recommend adding them to your short list of considerations. They build a wide variety of styles to your specs and I believe them to be reasonable.
