I am a KIDNEY TRANSPLANT survivor and I had my transplant in 1998. The medications are a bitch, but so is life. I have been very lucky as the kidney failure snuck up on me pain free and undiscovered and caused me to bomb my last year in High School. If you look at my year book photos I posted you can see me just “shrinking” away. My 2nd semester of my junior year at THS I transferred to Seamen High School. It's not all bad because in the 6th grade I was tested by some local shrinks and found to be a genius with an outstanding IQ of 163. That number got higher with time. But it is not cracked up to be what people think. I can do anything, and if I do not know how to do something I learn quickly. The problem is you never stop thinking, and that is a real bitch when you are trying to get some SLEEP!!!
