Hey my name is Tray Wellington! I am a musician who is based out of Johnson City, Tennessee. I first fell in love with the banjo after hearing Flatt, and Scruggs: The Complete Mercury Sessions. Since then I have went on to explore a variety of other genres including jazz, progressive bluegrass, blues, rock, and many more. I am fortunate enough to be a two-time IBMA Momentum Award Winner including: 2019 IBMA Momentum Instrumentalist of the Year, and 2019 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year(w/Cane Mill Road). I have played some of the biggest festivals in the United States, and I love touring. I have gotten to play on stage with some of my heroes including: Bela Fleck, Tony Trischka, Jens Kruger, Noam Pikelny, Kristin Scott Benson, Bryan Sutton, etc
