For an experiment, I attached a banjo neck to an old strat that I had. I want the option of playing with a guitar sound but playing 3 finger banjo style. I wanted to have a guitar set up with the same string height,spacing and scale as my banjo's. So before I went off and bought a guitar like this I decided to do a test that would not cost a large amount of money and wouldn't destroy my guitar if it didn't turn out as I had hoped. Got a banjo neck, attached it to my strat body, put a plate under the bridge and drilled holes between the six existing holes and low and behold, an electric guitar that you play like a banjo. Just wanted to share this so if anybody was even slightly thinking of doing this , it's very simple and has provided lots of laughs and opened a new can of worms. I have video clip of me playing right after I put the strings on it late one night this week. If anyone wants some laughs , I can send the short video. Don't know how to post on here or if it is allowed or whatever.
