Just picked up a tenor banjo at a junk shop. it has ivory tuning buttons on friction pegs. Open backed. No serial numbers or name anywhere on banjo. Only identifying mark is an inlaid shell, 5 point star. 17 frets. Dot shell inlays on fret board. 11" head.
I know this is probably vague, but any ideas what this might be?
