Glad to see there is a banjo forum. I have been doin a little research lately while looking for my first banjo.

So far I have had the Savanna 5 string in my hands. It seems a little pricey for composite stock at $275 U.S.

And I see on amazon I can pick up a Jameson, made by Davidson guitars. It appears to be the same cheap materials, but the price is $130. U.S.

So my price range is 275 U.S. max. Just tryin to get the best play for the buck. Any suggestions?
