Born and raised in Lexington, KY; Graduate of University of KY (Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music Performance); Taught band for 18 years and Principal for 10 years. Now retired and returning to banjo playing. I enjoy hunting and shooting. My love of music is very eclectic and includes what I call the four B's...Bach, Beethoven, Brown (as in James), and Bluegrass! I compare the music of Scruggs and Crowe to Mozart....their music is perfect as is, to add or takeaway a note diminishes the music.
