I was born and raised in the great state of North Carolina. I wish I would have started playing the banjo sooner, but the Lord knows what he is doing. I actually cut my musical teeth on the piano. I started playing with my feet dangling inches above the pedals. Next came the guitar. I wanted to be the next Eddie Van Halen. (For those who know who he is. I'm glad that didn't happen.) I remember giong with my older brother to jam sessions when I was very little. I loved bluegrass from the beginning. I've often said, "Bluegrass may have started in Kentucky, but North Carolina perfected it!" The military brought me to Idaho in January 2001. I'm staying. I've met a lot of good, honest people who share the same love for bluegrass. I play in a local band called "Tradition". If your ever in Idaho, come by for some northwestern "Southern" hospitality.
