I am a retired Professor of Neurophysiology. I got a B.A. in Physics from U.C. Berkeley, Ph.D. in Biology from U.C., did a post-doc at NIH in Bethesda, MD., then took a job in the Dept. of Molecular and Cell Biology at U.C. Berkeley. I stayed at Berkeley for 15 years, advancing to Full Professor there, but then decided to move to Montana State University in Bozeman for a variety of reasons. Glad I did! What a spectacular place!!! I retired in 2015 after 18 years here as a professor of Cell Biology and Neuroscience. My career involved teaching and research in the general area of neurophysiology. Now I am making banjos and mandolins out of exotic woods, and trying out some design ideas I have come up with.
