I inherited a horugel HB75 5 string banjo. I have seen banjos with open backs and this one is closed and I think a maghoney hand rest on it. I was thinking about starting to pick but I also would like to know about the banjo. This I know.. Horguel makes pianos, guitars and banjos they moved from germany to japan then i think ended in korea. My Banjo has a made in korea sticker on it. its is its original box stock number 497999153 vrr no. 96541. It has the 5 th string drone string, Tone ring or bell is steel. pearl inlays? Is this worth fixing up and playing or is it not. Anybody know anything about it. If I decide to start playing are my acrylic nails an issue, i am retired and I dont have the vicious fighting nails. lol Any advice about Banjo and what learning program is suggested. Thanks for the patience to a newbie.
