I went back to The British Columbia Bluegrass Workshops again this past Summer and took my musical friend Bruce Smith (dobro) with me
Once again the camp proved to be a great experience. A non stop week of great music and instruction.
New great experiences included Tony Furtado who is a great banjo and slide guitar player.
Took Advanced Rhythm Guitar instead of banjo this year (sacrilege I know!!!) but the workshops were awesome . We had Chris Stevens as a instructor who is also awesome on the banjo.

I always loved bluegrass music and started playing guitar at an early age (I have a great Martin D-28) then moved on to mandolin but really put most of my effort into playing the banjo. I attend the British Columbia Bluegrass Workshops every year in Sorrento .BC and have really learned a lot there. You also get to meet many great players like Richard Bailey, Chris Quinn, Mike Stahlman, Janet Beasley and Craig Korth. I play in a local bluegrass oriented band and was fortunate to attend a DelMcCoury Live concert last year. Just in time for Sorrento Bluegrass Camp 2007 i've finally acquired a Gibson Mastertone RB250. I've owned a number of Gibson guitars over the years including a J45, j50, Les Paul Black Beauty, ES 175 and a Howard Roberts Fusion but this is my first real Gibson banjo.
