Well been a while i guess since my last entry. I worked at Paws Up Resort for the last three years, seven days a week in season. I had great fun playin' my banjo at the chuck wagon and reciting cowboy poetry. This year i opted just to do special events so i can enjoy my summer.
I also drove the team and carried the folks to the chuck wagon via a team of Percheron/Fiord horses.
Banjo playin' dominated my last three summers and really not sure much improvement has taken place. Still struggle goin' up the neck cuz i think I'm to lazy to understand how that whole thing works. Still play every day and am messin' with two finger style along with claw and sometimes i catch myself doin' both in the same song. I took some great lessons in Missoula a yr and a half ago but since it's over an hour and twenty minutes...i only lasted three months or so. Mike was however a great help and took my autographed head (ramblin' Jack Elliott) off my Deering and installed a fibreskin head and enclosed tuners. Now it's really sweet and the old head is framed and hanging up.
Hope all is well to all my banjo friends out there...Happy Trails
