Greetings,
I have a 2002 Gibson Granada that I want to upgrade and I'm thinking about fitting it with a Sullivan floor rim and a Steve Huber tone ring, and possibly replacing my Snuffy Smith bridge with a Sullivan to replicate a pre-war sound. My questions are:
1. If you did something similar in the past, in your opinion, did the improvements you made to your banjo justify the expense?
2. Did you get the sound you were looking for?
3. Do you think that you devalued your banjo by fitting and installing non-Gibson parts?
4. Would you do it again or would you do something different?
Thanks for taking the time to consider your answers and reply.
