Not much picking going on for me right now! I have just undergone major back surgery and may have some more ahead of me. Standing is pretty much a pain and I can't pick banjo worth a hoot while sitting..although some would argue it's no better when I'm standing but thats a nuther story LOL!
I have been playing upright bass quite a bit since my surgery I can handle that while sitting..except breaks are a little interesting sometimes LOL!
Hope 2011 is a great year for everyone and we are all able to get along in this world together and have fun! Thats what makes it happen!
All The Best!

My Instruments:
I try to stay versatile as I can by staying up to date on bass as well as dobro
I'm more of a Josh Graves Dobro type and a Bob Moore type on bass :)
Least I'll always have something to do this way :)
Favorite Bands/Musicians:
I'm a true die hard traditional person who grew up on Earl Scruggs and Don Reno and I still have those traits today.. Flatt and Scruggs are by far my all time favorite group!

Currently working with the group Truegrass We do mainly traditional bluegrass from days gone by and enjoy every minute of it ! http://www.truegrassband.com.. I have filled in with many area and local groups down through the year on both banjo and bass. I have played many a firehouse jamboree, square dance or cake walk in my time and tried to make a learning experience out it all :) I as a member of Cabin Creek for 11 years and we were a very busy local group playing several nights a week and have also been a member of The Shiloh Mountain Boys. Many different names come to mind I've performed in the past BlueGrass Limited, and my fathers band The BlueGrass Pioneers. I have always held playing music as one of the best stress relievers I could possibly find. Which I guess has kept me sober all these years..not to mention somewhat sane LOL! I've met a lot of wonderfully nice folks down through the years through music as well as some I'd just as soon forget :) But Like Bob Moore always said "Thats Life And You Only Get One Take " So I live each day as if it's the last go hard as I can and learn as much as my little brain will contain LOL! I always look at the big picture like this : "I never have the best and fanciest instrument but I try to bring out the best it has to offer " But I have to be different..I do it with two fingers not three!
