Jack B. Hood was born in Clarkesville, Habersham County, Georgia in 1948. He graduated from Jordan Vocational High School in Columbus, Georgia in 1966. From the University of Georgia, he received an A.B. degree in 1969 and a J.D. degree in 1971. He received a Diploma in International Law in 1972, from the University of Cambridge, attending Darwin College. He is the author and co-author of several law books (46 if new editions are counted) with 4 current ones published in print and on Westlaw by West, a Thomson/Reuters company. Another book is currently published by West Academic Publishing. From 1978 to present, he can be found in 106 listings in the U.S. Copyright Office for works done as author, co-author, or author-for-hire.He is the author of the novels, Banjo Lessons (2004), Banjo Playing (2008), Banjo Method (2010), Banjo Songs (2012), Banjo Jihad-A Contest of Wills (2013), Banjo Gung-Ho--Harmony Workings (2014), Banjo Mambo-God Conversations on Two (in Kikango) (2017), and all are about a banjo playing Alabama attorney and his Brazilian wife. He is also the creator of You Tube videos, "Digging The Panama Canal" (an original song), "Banjo Flamenco" (an original rendition), "The Minstrel Boy", "Banjo Bay Blues" (an original demonstration of playing styles), "Home Sweet Home (in G Tuning)", "Frailing Dear Old Dixie", "Cripple Creek", and "Banjo in the Canyon" (an original banjo tune).
