Hello everyone! I was reading about the comments on which post WW2 banjos were reproduced after the war effort and I can tell you they started back making them in 1947. I have one it was my fathers and was bought new in 1947. His name was James bowers he played with Bill Monroe in the early 50'S. The banjo was produced from post war materials and is completely original except for tuning pegs (to play Scruggs style 3 finger roll). I hope this helps.
