dean backwoods 6 string banjo

I just bought a dean backwoods 6 string banjo. It arrived with the bridge and string tension removed. I have never set up a banjo can someone give me some info on installing the string tensioner. It has a both with a regular nut and a nut cap both were loose in the shipping. I would be grateful for any help. Thanks to all
