Tone rings dilemma

Saturday, March 10, 2012

Hey All, newbie banjo player from Australia, I have an expert artist luthier about to build me a five string based on one piece flange mastertone resonator style, but I am stuck trying to pick the best rim and tone ring combo. I know everybody new to the forum probably asks the same questions, but Huber vintage 20? Tennessee 20 Or kulesh vintage ? Very similar pricing...throw me some advice? How about the first quality Sullivan bell bronze? 6 comments

Dirt River Radio Gretsch silver falcon/ vocals/ 5 string banjo Country rock alternative I am not a purist, I love rockabilly ( stray cats, reverend Horton heat), country ( hank, waylon, cash) and bluegrass, but come from a punk rock background.
