Got a call this morning from a friends wife to say her her husband had died. I taught Derick the banjo for 2 years, I met him at the Gower Bluegrass festival, I remember him saying " Hey your pretty good on that banjo, I wanna play like that" He took my number and came to see me pretty much every Sunday. Derick was a typical bloke, what you get is what you see and it does what it says on the box...and you know what, I really like that, I will miss his cheeky grin and piss-taking, thoughts are with his wife Jerry and daughter Tia
