I'm a new entry.... I'm Fabrizio from Bologna (Italy),I'm a music lover and I like listen and play good music! Since years I played a lot of country-blues (Blind Boy Fuller, Gary Davis...) around Italy and expecially in the main square of the city I live. I think people like to listen different sounds, different styles and anything different of the "mainstream".... In september 2011 I started a project bringing old time banjo to the streets of Italy....seems strange but people are courius and they like it! I think we need more banjo to the streets so if you agree with me what are you waiting for? .... let's keep old time banjo music alive in the 21st century and share it with new and courius listeners! take your banjo and play it on the streets!!!7 comments

I'm a music addicted! Since years I play country-blues guitar in a duo called “Lazy Step”.I discovered old time banjo in 2007 when I gave up my day-job in a call center and took a plane to the USA to do something I always dreamed: a 70-day coast to coast trip on the road (by Couchsurfing and Greyhound Bus!!!) and go to the Appalachian Mountains to see Doc Watson playing at MerleFest (North Carolina, USA). In september 2011, after years of love and practice with banjo I decided to record "It's only old time banjo...but I like it!" and I started to play banjo on the street as full time busker. During the first year of bringing old time banjo to the street I had the chance to play in a lot of cities around Italy and 5 months in Vancouver (Canada).
