I am having a problem with the tuning pegs on my banjo. I have an old Ludwig kingston banjo that has washers on the pegs and I can tune that banjo perfectly. I just purchased this 1919 Orpheum #2 4 string banjo and I am having a problem keeping it in tune. The pegs turn back by themselves. This does not have washers on the pegs. Are the washers missing or isn't it supposed to have any. The banjo looks like brand new with no wear. Can anyone help me?
