I'm just a gal of 55 who's really happy to be alive... yes in deedie do! Been a professional vocalist for years - traveled throughout the USA & Canada for about 7 years, then settled here in Cleveland...raised my beautiful daughter, Casey Lynn. Jazz & blues have been my forte for years...absolutely love the Brasilian flavor which has taken us...(my wonderful husband Peter and me) to Brasil several times, to learn more about its music and familiarize ourselves with the different styles, from folk to samba...what a wonderful journey this has been! So how did I comeupon this site??? Well, a very good friend and wonderful musician is responsible and his name is Steve Davis...to which I will be forever grateful, as I have really enjoyed listening to the beautiful accoustic sounds of banjos and fiddles! My grandpa was a fiddle player and mamma played the mouth harp...My father also played the violin( which I have, and yes, it is older than dirt!) My ambition is to get it re-strung and the bridge fixed up and get a new bow and then...well...we'll see! Maybe I'll learn how to play well enough to sit in with Steve Davis my next trip to Port Clyde! Music is an incredible means of communication...jam sessions are a blast! Nothing better than jamming with a bunch of people you have never played with before. It is all about the energy that we feed to one another and if we are open to accept that energy, then magic truly happens...which takes me to my love; Joy Through Music, Inc. I love providing free live concerts to Cleveland's less fortunate and homeless...check out the web site www.joythroughmusic.org!
