I've been playing guitar since 1982 and have been in a few bands. I've always played rock and blues but started getting into Jazz and Funk around 1997. In 1989 I started listening to Phish, Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, and their immediate offshoots. Since listening and going to see those bands live, I've always had an affinity to bluegrass music, but never listened to as much as I should have. I recently moved from CT to NC, and since re-listening to Old And In The Way, I thought I could use some of my free time by getting back to playing music, thus buying a banjo.
