30's style 11 with a Fawley perloid neck - i have found no others that compare. I was given this by my father when I was in 8th grade and he bought it from Chubby Anthony - fiddler with the Stanley Brothers. I can get no info on the ring but it sounds fantastic - deep and rich.
1992 Martin Custom 15, 1992 Gibson F5-L, early 2000's Fender jazz bass, 1952 Kay bass, several old fiddles
Tony Rice, David Grisman, Newgrass Revival (with Courtney Johnson, the other one was too homogenized), Doobie Brothers, the original Seldom Scene, Red and Murphy and Company, Merle Haggard, Hot Rize, AC/DC, Stanley Brothers, Black Sabbath, and of course, Bill Monroe. Not all about the new pop/country at all.

I only put experience level as expert/pro because I have been getting paid to play bluegrass for a couple of decades. I don't mean to imply I am better than anyone, just that I get paid to do it. Played with - Vassar Clements, Adobe Brothers Whitey Markle and the Swamprooters Sawnee Mountain Valley Boys Gatorgrass Gypsy Wind Band Midnight Moonlight Swinging Bridge probably a few others I forgot I took lessons from Murphy Henry in Gainesville before they moved to Winchester. In college I played a lot and in a band with Dave Walker, Cory and Jerrod's dad. Don't know them? You will. I take credit for a little influence in their picking.
