I recently inherited a 1927/1930 or so Supertone Dixie Wonder banjo. For the most part she is in pretty good shape and all original except for the bridge and tail piece. My problem is i dont know the worth of the banjo,is it a collector item or not. I am starting to learn how to play banjo on it,but the original tuning pegs slip alot and it constantly go's out of tune.I was told the best way to go is replace them with geared tuners ? What is your view on this subject ? Thank you .
