Today is my 1st year anniversary with the banjo -- really, it's my first year anniversary with anything musical. It's been a fun first year and I hope to have many many more.
Time to move up my skill level to novice -- I can find my way around and generally do ok with tabs. I may not be the fastest player or the player with the most flash but I do ok and every once in a while people recognize the song I'm playing. And anyway, playing for myself and enjoying what I'm playing is why I started in the first place.
Drop Thumb and practice, practice, practice -- my goals for the next year; especially with getting the rhythm smooth.
