Born and raised on a tobacco farm in the Appalachian Foothills of Kentucky. I am proud of my heritage, family and upbringing. I grew up surrounded by traditional music but came to realize its true beauty a little later in life. I picked up my grandfather's old banjo while bedridden after a major accident and have not laid it down since. I have a small farm and vineyard in the hills of Climax, Kentucky (Rockcastle County). I work for Berea College, and a stone mason as well. My interests include heirloom organic gardening, design and building of wood fired Italian ovens, home brewing and wine making.
