I am a veteran, retired, and a very bad banjo picker. But, I love traditional bluegrass music styles and gospel music. I have a passion for traditional music and I am the curator of the Americana Music Museum in Black River Falls, WI. I am in the process of beginning a fundraising project to construct a new building to accomodate the museum, a Wisconsin Music Hall of Fame and a performing area within the building.
I have followed Banjo Hangout for quite awhile and I like it very much. It's wonderful to have this resource available to dummys like me.
I am a songwriter and "Sunday afternoon musician". I have played music for over 50 years and have been a song writer for nearly that long. After all this time It's finally going to pay off, I think! I've received word from a friend that three major bluegrass singers have expressed interest in my latest composition. WOW! What a feeling. I can hardly wait to hear what they do with the song. After all these years, it's a fantastic Christmas gift.
