I have an old Winsor Banjo (Closed back) that need to have the neck reattached to the wooden rim. It looks like the original fixture was just a screw into the heel from inside the "pot". The whole thing is loose and would not remain fixed under string tension. I am considering fitting lag screws into the heel with a brass spacer between the fretboead and the rim to set the action. At this time should I also fit coordinator rods to keep the rim circular and give some control. The Banjo already has a small turnbuckle between the neck and the chrome tone ring. Any advice would be most appreciated.   Best regards  Bart Add Comment
