its 2.30 in the morning and i am just taking a rest break from the banji hard to put down. i have only just started learning been at it for afew months love it. am looking forward to meeting other players who are just starting out or can teach me a few things. would like to have bit of a jam to see what its like to be around other players who love it as i do. doesnt sound to corny does it . i'm just so wraped up in it cant get enough.i am a mad country music lover as well though i do like other stuff. took up the banjo by complete surprise one of my freinds brother came to bris for bit of a holiday from sa . we sittin there out the back on the deck having a few refreshments and he pulled out this banjo played a few tunes that was it i wanted one of those. so needles to say i soon had it in my arms played that thumb roll till monday morning till i had to go to work. buy wendsday i bought myself a banjo played none stop ever since. i hounded the poor guy every day for the 3 months he was here. though he recounds it fired him up again. buy the way he had a earl scruggs gibbson what a beautiful piece of art they are. so i have decided i would like to be playing well enough in the next 12 to 18 months to get me one of them. well i'm back down stairs for some more practise have fun
