Hi,
I'm not a banjo player (guitar picker), but I've been asked by my office mates to find a good quality banjo in the under-$1K range to present as a gift to our boss on his 50th birthday.
He played banjo back in college, but expressed an interest in picking it up again (no pun intended).
I'm familiar with the Gibsons and high-end Deerings, but they are obviously out of our price range.
Can anyone make a recommendation on a good-quality, enjoyable to play, reasonably priced 5-string resonator?
Thanks!
John
