I am a recent banjo convert. I've been a guitar player for 20+ years and a songwriter for about that long. I started studying Old Time banjo a year and half ago and I'm hooked! I love the tunings, the melodies, the finger styles.
I'm starting to incorporate the tunings into the guitar music I write. And the time has come for me to buy my own banjo. My teacher suggested this site so here I am. I'm looking for an open back warm sounding banjo for around $500.
