Improved George Washburn 6 string banjo

Thursday, May 3, 2012

I picked up this banjo, serial # 1528, some years ago and have been looking at it periodically and I think I have a six string that some one converted to a five. It had all the old tuners in the original case, 5 for the peghead, 4 machine and one peg plus the peg on the neck. I've just started looking on line for info. Could anyone help me with this?

Thanks,
