Banjoseen - Just Wondering...

Hello everyone in Banjo Hangout world! My name is VoxKletus, just joined today. I'm glad to be a part of the Banjo Hangout family.

I actually saw this site & blog posts about Banjoseen.com a little too late, I ordered a mounted calfskin head from Banjoseen.com, then I saw all of the comments from folks that haven't received their heads after placing their orders and then not getting any satisfactory communication from them. I'm guessing my order will end up the same way? I saw somewhere John Balch also can supply mounted calfskin heads? Anyone know how to order an 11" mounted calfskin head from John?

I started out in music as an oboist. I played in The Columbus Symphony Orchestra as 2nd Oboe until I developed a lung tumor and lost my left lung. That was the end of the classical music career. So I taught myself to play the banjo, mandolin & guitar, and now I have a whole new music career, only its more of an avocation than a vocation. I went back to school at the age of 40 and got a degree in Software Development, so my main living is writing Java code for The State of Ohio. I've always loved the sound of the banjo, ever since I listened to Homer & The Barnstormers' "Bluegrass Banjos on Fire" & The Dillards "Back Porch Bluegrass" albums as a small child.
