I'm 19 years into my US Navy career and looking forward to retirement on a small Alabama farm in a few years. I'm not concerned too much with what I'll do in my second career as long as I have the time to slow down and enjoy life before it passes me by. My wife is the real musician and she has paid the bills with her voice more than once in her life. I just want to be good enough to play along with her and have a good time around the camp fire. I picked up guitar as a kid but never fell in love with it. I bought a banjo recently and found what I was missing. What else is there to say? I'm small town country boy but a military career has kept me living around the city for too long now.
