I hail from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, but Vancouver and Montréal are the places I call home. I play both bluegrass and clawhammer styles. One of my personal goals (besides learning new tunes!) is to expand my practical knowledge of theory in order to make myself more versatile in a jam setting. I currently play in a 6-piece Vancouver-based acoustic stringband called Viper Central (www.vipercentral.ca) and a Montreal-based old-time trio called the Bogghoppers (www.myspace.com/thebogghoppers). I have toured Europe and Western Canada in recent years, but of course above all I love playing music for the pure joy it brings into my life!
