BANJO CAMP NORTH next week--plus three new tunes

Friday, September 17, 2010

Banjo Camp North, Fall Edition, is next weekend--September 24, 25, & 26--in Charlton, MA. I'm on staff, along with Jim Mills, Paul Brown, Riley Baugus, and lots of other players (both Bkuegrass and Old-time) I really respect and admire. The class descriptions and class schedule is now available on this link. I hope we can come--it'll be fun!

Also, a week ago I posted two tunes from a jam at Lake Genero: Nine Miles From Louisville and Halfway Pond.  I was playing 3-finger banjo with Palmer Loux and Bill Christophersen--fiddles and Greg Loux--guitar.  Tonight I posted a tune from a jam at this year's Mount Airy--Ways of the World. Fiddling were Andy Williams and Nate Leath, I was playing clawhammer banjo, Erica Weiss was on guitar, and Toni Williams was on bass.  You may have to turn up your volume on the two tunes from Lake Genero--I guess the recording level was low. But the quality is high and you can easily boost the volume in a number of ways.

Anyway, I hope to see you at Banjo Camp!
