I am 19 years old, and just starting to play the banjo. I grew up in a raging bluegrass household, with a father who is a phenomenal banjo picker, and a mother who wound up with carpal tunnel trying to keep up with him on the guitar! I used to fall asleep with my folks playing music in the next room, into the wee hours, and there aren't many bluegrass songs that aren't etched into my brain, note by note. Bluegrass is in my blood, and I am ashamed that it took me this long to latch on and pick up an instrument...But it's a start!
