I have a 1957 Bowtie banjo with a Flowerpot on the headstiock(Like an F-5)
How rare is that? I've seen photos of Reno with one, but it may have been a top tension, I don;t know for sure.
It is the original neck(but with replaced tuners that actually work) and a new tail peice(also better than the original)
It sounds great, but again, I have not seen too many with the flowerpot in the ehadstock. It may have been a custom thing.
