I am trying to sell my father's banjo, it is a Wayne Fairchild Banjo #3846. I contacted Mr. Fairchild and was told that this banjo is a Vega style open back plectrum with a tuba phone tone ring. This banjo was built in 1995 & sold in April, 1995. The cost to reproduce at the present time would be approx. $4,895-$5,000. We hope this info is helpful....Wayne
This was in 2011, it would cost more not doubt now.. He is asking $4,000.00, Please contact me if you have any further questions. I do have pictures if needed.
