My father is American,my mother from Germany and I live in a German Town wich has a US Military Base.I´ve been rased with both languages,german and english.My dad is a guitarrist and singer so I have had contact to american folk music(and international folk music from arround the world) allmy life.Since many years I wanted to have a banjo cause I allways loved the sound and have some nice childhood memories with this instrument.So now I baught myself a five string (not to expenive but its allright for the beginning) and I havve the feeling its not gonna be my last one.Think I found my instriment with it.I play guitarr too, but didnt learn it systematicly.Thats what I want to try with the banjo,thogh there are no teachers arround.But I think my love to music is my best teacher.Glad I found this page!
