I grew up around bluegrass music. My playing style has been greatly influenced by banjo greats, Mike Lilly and JD Crowe. I began playing the banjo in the early 80's, after the passing of my father and grandfather who were also very influenced by bluegrass music. I play Gibson banjos. When asked who my favorite banjo player is, my answer is quick: “Mike Lilly, J.D. Crowe, Earl Scruggs, but the list does not stop there!”
